abstract

forming limit diagram (fld) is an important diagram by which the formability of sheet metals is studied. strain rate is a very effective parameter influencing the fld which is, in turn, influenced by the forming velocity. in this work, forming limit diagram for st14 was investigated both experimentally and numerically. in addition, the effect of forming velocity was studied and the experiments were conducted at three different velocities, i.e. 10, 100 and 200 mm/min. in numerical simulation, bifurcation theory was used to determine the necking time. the experimental results were compared with the numerical results and it was shown that the forming limit is increased as the forming velocity increases

An Experimental and Numerical Study of Forming Limit Diagram of Low Carbon Steel Sheets

The forming limit diagram (FLD) is probably the most common representation of sheet metal formability and can be defined as the locus of the principal planar strains where failure is most likely to occur. Low carbon steel sheets have many applications in industries, especially in automotive parts, therefore it is necessary to study the formability of these steel sheets. In this paper, FLDs, wer...

the evaluation of language related engagment and task related engagment with the purpose of investigating the effect of metatalk and task typology

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...

Numerical Determination of the Forming Limit Diagram for 304 Stainless Steel Based on Phase Change in Deep Drawing Process

Up to now a large number of models have been developed to measure or predict the damage in equipments. Some of these models have been implemented in ABAQUS software. To implement damage parameters in the software, it is necessary to perform complex and expensive practical tests. One of these damage models is Forming Limit Diagram (FLD).The purpose of this research is deriving required parameter...
